Olleco volunteers with Trussell Trust

In December 2017 Olleco teamed up with Trussell Trust whose mission is to help transform the prospects of people who are living in hardship. The Trussell Trust’s 430-strong network of foodbanks provide a minimum of three days’ emergency food and support to people experiencing crisis in the UK. In 2016/17, they gave 1,182,954 three day emergency food supplies to people in crisis, of which 437,000 went to children.

Olleco wins prestigious McDonald’s UK Sustainability Award

ABP’s renewables division, Olleco, has been awarded the prestigious McDonald’s Sustainable Supplier of the Year Award. The Award recognises the collaboration between the two companies and Olleco’s commitment to McDonald’s global sustainability and responsible sourcing strategy. The announcement was made at the annual McDonald’s supply chain conference, which was attended by more than 300 suppliers from across the UK and Ireland.

ABP Food Group invest £22 million in renewable energy project

A £22 million investment by ABP Food Group’s renewable division in a green energy plant will produce enough sustainable energy to power the equivalent of 12,000 homes. ABP’s renewables division, Olleco, has just opened the new 15 MW Anaerobic Digestion facility in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.
