This means that each of the 50,000 premises we serve around the UK, enjoys a highly responsive service with regular routine visits.

Because we offer a complete cooking oil service, the price of your cooking oil is determined by a number of factors including the amount of used oil we recover from you and the volumes you require. We aim to make our oils as competitive as possible and our teams can talk through your requirements and establish the most cost-effective solution for your business. We operate a national network, with local depots all over the UK, and collect your used cooking oil in our delivery vehicles, which helps us keep delivery costs to a minimum. 

There is a minimum oil delivery of four units of oil. Deliveries will be most cost effective if they are combined with collections of used cooking oil. Our minimum collection volume is 120 litres.

We collect all vegetable cooking oils and certain animal fats such as beef dripping. We can’t yet process the fat from under floor grease traps but this can be put into our food waste collections where its high energy content can help generate renewable gas, heat and electricity.

We can’t accept engine oil, lane oil or mineral oil.

We will collect used cooking oil from any kitchen or food production facility that produces used cooking oil. Currently our customers include:

If you are producing high volumes of used cooking oil, you may benefit from our automated OilSense collection system. By collecting oil directly from fryers, to store in purpose-built tanks, OilSense provides greater security and safety and can improve the efficiency of your operations.

Cooking oil theft costs the Government and our industry a vast amount. It has become a growing problem in recent years, due to the rising cost of diesel fuel, but we are working hard with customers to address the problem. 

Having a uniformed Olleco driver in a liveried vehicle, who delivers fresh oil at the same time as they collect used cooking oil, makes it harder for thieves to impersonate our drivers. 

The fresh cooking oils we supply are certified as coming from sustainable sources. We can advise you on which oil will perform best for you and how to maximise its working life. The exceptional quality of the biodiesel we produce from your used cooking oil means it can be used in concentrations of up to 100% in road vehicles where it reduces emissions by 88%. Our biorefinery is powered by food waste making it a circular, green UK facility. And, of course, by delivering fresh oil in the same vehicle at the same time as we collect your used oil, we reduce the carbon miles of your cooking oil by 50%. Because we keep detailed records of your oil use, we can supply data that will help you tell a strong sustainability story about your cooking oil.

Yes. Unlike some other collectors, all the oils we collect are processed in the UK at our state-of-the-art biorefineries. Your used cooking oil helps make the UK economy more resilient and sustainable by ensuring that we are less reliant on fossil fuel imports from foreign powers.
