Olleco is proud to announce that our Head of Procurement, Janine Barter, has formally taken over as President of the National Edible Oil Distributors' Association (NEODA).

Janine officially assumed the presidency at NEODA's annual dinner, which brought together members and guests from across the edible oils and fats industry. Her appointment marks a significant milestone, as she becomes the first woman to hold the role in the Association's 79-year history.

NEODA is the UK's trade association for businesses operating in the edible oils and fats sector. The Association represents and supports its members on a range of industry matters, including quality standards, sustainability, regulation, technical guidance and best practice. It also provides a forum for collaboration, helping to ensure the sector remains resilient, innovative and well-positioned to meet future challenges.

Janine takes over from Gary Lewis, who served as President for the past 10 years. With NEODA preparing to celebrate its 80th anniversary next year, it is an exciting time to lead the Association and help shape its future direction.

Commenting on her appointment, Janine said:

"Becoming President of NEODA is a genuine honour, and I am especially proud to be the first woman to hold the role. I'm looking forward to building on the Association's strong foundations, encouraging even greater participation from members and ensuring NEODA remains practical, relevant and forward-looking as our industry continues to evolve."
