At Olleco, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. With the introduction of our new fleet of OilSense vehicles, we are not just enhancing operational efficiency - we are actively contributing to a circular economy that prioritises resource recycling, lower emissions and smarter fuel usage.

A fleet designed for circular economy principles

Our new vehicles align with the circular economy by maximising fuel efficiency, reducing waste and extending vehicle lifespan. One of our biggest innovations is that they can run on our own biofuel, a 100% biodiesel alternative produced from the used cooking we collect. By repurposing and converting used cooking oil, we would close the loop and minimise reliance on traditional fossil fuels. This not only helps the environment with an estimated 90% emissions saving in comparison to fossil diesel but also enables us to operate a fleet that aligns with sustainability targets.

Fuel efficiency meets sustainability

In addition to saving 116 tCO2e over 12 months if run on 100% biodiesel fuel, our new fleet is designed with advanced driveline technology to optimise fuel consumption. The efficient driveline maximises miles per gallon, reducing fuel wastage. Tyre pressure monitoring continuously checks pressure levels to reduce drag, improving tyre life and lowering fuel consumption.

Additionally, the rear steer and lift axle technology helps reduce tyre wear by minimising drag and scrub. Less tyre scrubbing means tyres last longer, reducing waste. The rear axle automatically lifts the tyres when the vehicle is empty, further prolonging their lifespan and enhancing fuel efficiency. The new vehicles are also quieter, making them more pleasant to drive and significantly reduces noise pollution in urban areas.

Prioritising safety on every journey

Safety is paramount. These vehicles include industry-leading technology to protect Olleco’s drivers and those around them. The collision warning system and lane assist technology actively monitor surroundings and provide corrective actions, helping drivers avoid accidents and stay within their lane safely.

To further enhance safety for our Resource Recovery Professionals, the warning beacons and pedestrian alerts provide additional visibility and awareness, ensuring that anyone working around the vehicle is protected. The blind spot information system, 360 AI cameras and cycle-safe window provide comprehensive visibility, reducing the risk of collisions with pedestrians, cyclists, other vulnerable road users and vehicles.

Long-haul journeys require a workspace that offers both comfort and functionality. Our new vehicles have been equipped with a spacious sleeper cab, featuring an electrically operated bed, built-in fridge and climate control, ensuring drivers can rest and recharge properly.
