We feel it is vitally important to give back to local communities and causes that are important to our employees. Now in its 4th year our Giving Something Back scheme supports our employees by donating to amazing charities close to their hearts.
Last month we donated £500 to the British Heart Foundation for Peter whose daughter rode a bike from London to Brighton.
We also donated £400 to Bliss for Andy whose daughter was born 11 weeks and 1 day early. Andy is running in the great north run in September. You can read his full story below:
Darcy Grace Dean was born 11 weeks & 1 day early due to discovering she had fluid on her lungs. She was extremely poorly in the beginning. The early days were very frightening for us not knowing the outcome and how Darcy would be affected.
She was a little fighter though and with fantastic care in the neonatal ward, she spent 9.5 weeks in hospital before finally coming out 11 days before her due date.
We are now enjoying having her at home with us but know we are one of the lucky ones. I wish to raise much needed funds for Bliss so they can continue to support others who find themselves with a premature/sick baby.
