Olleco Liverpool gets 5 stars!

Olleco Liverpool recently passed a Food Hygiene inspection with flying colours, gaining a 5 star rating on 19th January.

The food hygiene rating or inspection result given to a business reflects the standards of food hygiene found on the date of inspection or visit by the local authority.

Due to the nature of our business, we are classed as being exempt on the Food Hygiene Inspections website but this doesn’t mean that inspections won’t take place.

Any food safety officer inspecting an Olleco site will check how well the business is meeting the law by looking at:

  • How hygienically the oil is handled and stored
  • The condition of the structure of the buildings – the cleanliness, layout and other facilities
  • How the business manages and records what it does to make sure oil is free from contaminates
  • Ensure that are pest control is adequate and maintained

The inspections are completely unannounced and can happen at any time.

The information provided on businesses is held on behalf of local authorities participating in the national Food Hygiene Rating Scheme in England, Northern Ireland and Wales or the Food Hygiene Information Scheme in Scotland.

Well done Liverpool!
