Waste certificates and memberships

Every waste carrier and processor operating in the UK is regulated by the Environment Agency or its devolved equivalents. This ensures that all waste is collected and disposed of responsibly and correctly.

We take huge pride in our status as a Registered Waste Carrier and we comply with all the relevant legislation. Our waste processing and storage facilities all operate to the highest possible standards complying with the relevant Environmental Agencies’ requirements.

We place great importance on performing to the highest possible standards. We operate under the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC). All of our sites are ISO 14001 certified and our Greenhouse Gas emissions are measured by ISO 14064 standard. Our anaerobic digestion facilities in Aylesbury are ISO 9001 certified.

We are also certified under the Safe Contractors Approval accreditation scheme.

Operating to the spirit of the law

We have incredibly high safety standards for all our employees from drivers and office-based workers to warehouse and processing operatives. One example of this is our lost time injury rate. It is already low and is falling year on year as we continue to push for the safest, most compliant operations.

Waste producer responsibilities

As a waste producer, you have a duty of care to ensure that all your waste is handled in line with the relevant environmental regulations for the premises in which the waste arises. Your duties include keeping records and being able to provide certification for any contractors you use. Failure to do so can result in prosecution and substantial fines.

By working with Olleco, you can be sure that all your premises across the UK are fully compliant and that your waste is in the safest possible hands. Our handheld system means that every collection we make from your premises is monitored and a Waste Transfer Note is emailed to you.

For large national customers with complex sustainability plans, our analysis team can provide detailed support to assist your record keeping and reporting.

All of our compliance documentation can be downloaded here for your records.
